MENOIR Sets New Trends in International Home Decor at EXPOSITION REVIVING CRAFT in Paris

Author:

On July 6th, under the radiant summer sun of France, the EXPOSITION REVIVING CRAFT: Métiers d'Art et Design Contemporain de la Chine opened at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. This global cultural feast, featuring nearly 40 distinguished artists and 20 exhibiting organizations from around the world, vividly showcases the seamless integration of Chinese intangible cultural heritage with contemporary design. MENOIR, a luxury home decor brand from China, stood out at the event with its exceptional quality, craftsmanship, innovative designs, and its approach to both preserving and innovating intangible cultural heritage.

EXPOSITION REVIVING CRAFT, created by Sun Media Group and the China National Brand platform, was co-curated by Ms. Yang Lan, president of Sun Media Group, and deputy curator Mr. Su Dan of the National Museum of Arts and Crafts of China. Ms. Yang Lan stated, "The cultural and artistic exchanges between China and France have a long history. By launching this exhibition, we aim to showcase the works of Chinese intangible cultural heritage masters and contemporary designers to the world, while revitalizing cultural diversity and intercultural exchanges." The exhibition is cleverly themed around the five Chinese elements — Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth, blending traditional Chinese philosophy with modern design to highlight the idea that heaven and man are united as one.

Since its establishment in 1988, MENOIR has committed to craftsmanship and supreme quality, driven by innovation, producing a comprehensive range of home decor products for premium clients. At EXPOSITION REVIVING CRAFT, the company not only showcased its entire product line but also demonstrated its unique perspective on the blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation through these contemporary pieces.

The MENOIR section at the exhibition was designed to evoke a strong sense of Eastern aesthetics, where classical and modern, calm and lively elements intermingle, offering visitors an immersive journey through home decor aesthetics. From the exquisite furniture lines to the meticulous choice of materials, every detail and the overall balanced design reflected MENOIR's deep passion for and commitment to furniture art.

MENOIR recognizes the value of intangible cultural heritage as a treasure of traditional Chinese culture and strives to incorporate these elements into modern home decor designs. This creates products that not only bear a rich cultural heritage but also meet modern aesthetic needs. The exhibition features various items inspired by ancient Chinese architecture and artifacts, such as a foyer using the design principles of ancient structural components in ceilings, beams, and columns, a chair shaped like Chinese jade artifacts, a side table inspired by a jade hare statue, and a dining chair incorporating elements of ancient Chinese bronze Jue. These pieces not only reflect the company's dedication to cultural preservation and innovation but also showcase its strength in creative design.

The success of EXPOSITION REVIVING CRAFT not only reinvigorates the transmission and development of Chinese intangible cultural heritage but also builds an important platform for cultural exchange between China and the world. MENOIR's outstanding performance at the exhibition allowed the world to witness the infinite charm of Eastern aesthetics combined with modern design, significantly enriching this cultural event and setting a new standard in the global home decor industry.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to adhere to its professional, precise, and scalable development strategy, leveraging an international perspective to keep up to date with home decor trends. By continuously engaging in the preservation and innovation of intangible cultural heritage, it aims to merge more traditional crafts with modern design, creating home decor products with deep cultural significance and contemporary value. MENOIR continues to define the era of “reviving craft” through its masterful home decor art, spreading the brilliance of Chinese culture around the globe.
